MDC-T interim president, Thokozani Khupe, secretary general Douglas Mwonzora and Morgan Komichi are in a quandary to douse an affidavit exposee by their party’s Organizing Secretary, Abedinigo Bhebhe.

In the affidavit Bhebhe spilled beans of the political chicanery and destruction of MDC-T 2014 structures by Khupe and Mwonzora.

In her opposing paperwork gleaned by this reporter, Khupe represented by lawyer, Lovemore Madhuku argued that Bhebhe has no locus-standi to file an opposition nor to speak about her actions.

The notice of opposition reads in part: “The 4th respondent (Abedinigo Bhebhe) is not permitted by the 1st respondent constitution to speak about the 1st respondents affairs in a court of law ,as defined by and in respect from of his functions.”

Khupe went on to say that Bhebhe’s papers must be struck from the opposing paperwork.

“As the acting president l seek that 4th respondent paper be expunged from the record. I am advised that the 4th respondents papers do not comply with the law on the , notice of opposition. He is not opposing on the basis of an application but he is airing out his grievances and has his own prayer ” read the notice.

She further argued that the actions of alleged doctoring of legitimate MDC-T 2014 structures was at her pleasure as the person whom the supreme court directed to convene an extraordinary congress.

In his opposing papers to the high court application by Gilbert Kagodora and Nason Mamuse, Bhebhe threw Mwonzora and Khupe under the bus.

Bhebhe went on to distance himself from the political dynamics within the MDC-T saying the interim leader and chairperson, in that order, Thokozani Khupe and Morgen Komichi were responsible.

In his court affidavit Bhebhe said the applicants’ concerns Gilbert Kagodora and Nason Mamusi were justified as the party leaders were not being faithful in their handling of congress details.

He said: “I am not surprised, in light of the foregoing, that first and second applicants are before this honourable court. Second and third respondents (Khupe and Komichi) have failed, neglected, omitted or one way or the other have not been able to convene both the national executive and/or the national council meetings.”
