The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) spokesperson advocate Fadzai Mahere has urged CCC supporters not to boycott elections but to vote in their numbers.
She said this after most of the CCC supporters raised alarm over ZEC irregularities threatening to boycott the by-elections slated for Saturday.
Addressing the press today Mahere urged all CCC members to vote despite the party’s unresolved issues with ZEC.
“The question of boycott is out of the question and it is not even something that we are prepared to entertain. Nobody should be left behind even if you heard that your polling station has been taken down go to that site and participate. We will participate.
“Every citizen who has a byelection in their constituency has to come out, we have to vote in full force tomorrow and we are never going to say don’t vote.”
She added that the only way for CCC to win is when all of its supporters vote.
“If all citizens come out in their millions to vote, that’s the only way we can assure a constitutional change government.”
Mahere gave assurance to CCC supporters that the party will give timely updates to avoid rigging of elections.
