EXILED former cabinet minister, Saviour Kasukuwere’s lawyer Jacqueline Sande has successfully filed his nomination papers for the Presidential candidature.

Kasukuwere will be among main contenders in the upcoming August 23 general elections.

“Saviour Kasukuwere is expected to roll out his campaign plan himself but it should kickstart  soon.

“The nomination itself has been accepted as of now,” Sande said.

Sande refused to divulge Kasukuwere’s whereabouts after reports that he flew into the country for the nomination court process on Wednesday.

“His whereabouts , I cannot divulge but he is going to be available to campaign for himself because as you know as a presidential candidate you need to hit the ground running and to meet the electorate and sell them you ideology, proposals and get them to vote for you  so he is not going to campaign from outside the country he is going to be around.

“Kasukuwere has no any legal reasons that could affect his return or his campaign,” she added.

Kasukuwere and other allies of  the late former President Robert Mugabe fled Zimbabwe following a military coup that toppled Mugabe, paving way for Mnangagwa.

Mnangagwa, Nelson Chamisa, Lovemore Madhuku, Trust Chikohora and Kasukuwere have filed nomination papers for presidential candidature.
