Zanu-PF is scared of me, says Kasukuwere

by Bustop TV News

Exiled former cabinet minister Saviour Kasukuwere has scoffed at Zanu-PF’s efforts to block him from campaigning.

Kasukuwe said the issuance of a statement by the Government to local advertising agencies after Kasukuwe campaigning billboard’s erection is an indication that they are ‘scared’ of him.

Writing on his Twitter wall, Kasukuwere said the custodian of liberation struggle Zanu-PF is fretting about his potential to overthrow the reigning regime.

“Allow us to campaign! These fellas are scared, pound for pound! 23 August ! ChaChaya,” Kasukuwere said.

In a statement, the Ministry of Transport & Infrastructural Mashonaland Central Province’s road engineer J. Makore indicated all advertising agencies on state highways within the province should be approved by the Provincial Road Engineer first before erection.

“Please be informed that all content to be advertised on billboards on state highways in Mashonaland Central now requires prior approval from the office of the Provincial Road Engineer.

“Therefore, each company seeking to put up new content on their billboards should take due diligence to notify this respective office before installation, clearly specifying the nature of the content,” Makore said.

Meanwhile, Kasukuwere was recently blocked from contesting in the August 23 Presidential election by the High Court judge Justice David Mangota who nullified Kasukuwere’s nomination ruling that he should stop “masquerading as a candidate.”

The judgement followed an application by Zanu PF activist, Lovedale Mangwana who argued that Kasukuwere had ceased to be a registered voter as he has been out of his constituency for over 18 consecutive months.

However, Kasukuwere was shoved back onto the ballot paper after his lawyers successfully appealed the nullification of his nomination at the Supreme Court.

His appeal suspended the High Court order.

Mangwana continued with the fight and  filed an appeal at the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing of Kasukuwere’s application which will be heard on Thursday at 1400hours.
