Chamisa’s political opponents, President Emmerson Mnagangwa and MDC T interim president, Thokozani Khupe have extended their condolences following the passing of his mother yesterday.
The MDC Alliance’s mother, Ambuya Chamisa collapsed and died at her rural home in Gutu, Masvingo Province.
Mnangagwa, Khupe and government officials who include Information ministry permanent secretary, Nick Mangwana, Fortune Chasi have sent their condolences to the bereaved Chamisa family.
Posting on his official Twitter page, President Mnangagwa said he was saddened by the passing on of Ambuya Chamisa.
He wrote, “l was sad to hear of the passing of Ambuya Chamisa, the mother of Nelson Chamisa. Our thoughts and prayers are with @nelsonchamisa and the Chamisa family at this difficult time”.
Khupe also expressed her condolences to the Chamisa family. She posted on Twitter:
“My deepest condolences to the Chamisa family. I pray that the Lord comforts you in this difficult time. MHSRIP”.
Also to pass their condolences are LEAD president Linda Masarira and BUILD Zimbabwe Alliance president Dr Noah Manyika as well as Transform Zimbabwe president Mr Jacob Ngativhume

Meanwhile the MDC Alliance party has said that funeral arrangements will be announced soon.
