…promoter donates US$100 to gospel diva

LOCAL entrepreneur and registered music promoter, MacDonald Kachingwe, is upbeat gospel diva Amanda Sagonda will rise again.
The 40-year-old queen of “praise and worship” grabbed headlines early this week when H-Metro exclusively revealed that she was struggling to make ends meet and was now into vegetable vending.
Amanda, who was once living large along with her estranged husband Request Machimbira, said she had never imagined herself eking out a living through vending.
She however accepts her predicament and she is still hopeful to recharge her vocal batteries.
Following her appeal for assistance, many have been enquiring about Amanda’s whereabouts and yesterday Kachingwe decided to visit the diva at her Avonlea vending stall by the roadside.
Not only did Kachingwe, who runs Macten Promotions and Macten Investments paid her a visit, he also donated US$100 to the diva to ensure she boosts her stocks.
Amanda was at a loss for words as she received the US$100 note from Kachingwe who was touched by the plight of the songbird.
“May God bless you for remembering me, I don’t want to say much because I might end up crying,” she said.
Amanda hailed H-Metro saying the story has since opened new doors in her life.
