The Indian Embassy in Belgravia, Harare was today (Monday) gutted by fire destroying property.
When the fire brigade crew arrived at the embassy premises to put out the fire only the accounts office had been affected.
The inferno which broke out early morning caused minimal damage.
Indian diplomat to Zimbabwe, Rungsung Masakui said the fire was not serious and he suspected that it had been caused by an electrical fault.
“I was alerted by an employee in the accounts department that there was a fire at around 0830 hours.
It was not that serious, no casualties were recorded,” he said.
