Prominent Zimbabwean investigative journalist Hopewell Chin’ono has reportedly been arrested.
Chin’ono announced his arrest by the Zimbabwe Republic Police on his twitter account mentioning that he wanted everyone to know about it.
“Police have come to arrest me! Let everyone know!” read the twitter.
Details on charges for the arrest are still unknown.
Earlier, MDC Alliance vice Chairman and Zengeza West legislature Job Sikhala announced that he had learnt that the Mnangagwa administration wanted to arrest him over his twitter account
Chin’ono have been in and out of the prison recently on charges of incitement of public violence using his twitter account as well as breaching bail conditions.
