Eleven more returnees have tested positive for Covid -19 bringing the total of confirmed cases in Zimbabwe to 343.
Of the 343 confirmed cases 288 are active cases, 51 recoveries and 4 deaths.
The eleven new cases are returnees from South Africa currently under isolation.
“Eleven (11) cases tested positive for Covid -19. These are all returnees South Africa and are all isolated.
“Today 387 RDT screening tests and 465 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date its 57 598 (34 061 RDT and 23 537 PCR)
“To date the total number of confirmed cases is 343; recoveries 51, active cases 288 and 4 deaths since the onset of the outbreak on 20 March 2020,” reads the Health ministry Covid-19 situation update.
Globally 7 672 341 confirmed cases and 426 058 deaths have been recorded.
