The Harare Metropolitan Residents Forum (HAMREF) has intensified its devolution campaign. Over the weekend, HAMREF held a road show at Tagarika shopping center in Glenview.
HAMREF programs manager Mr Hardlife Mudzingwa said
“The #LeaveNoResidentBehind Devolution Campaign is meant to galvanize masses and citizens towards participation in Devolution Implementation in Zimbabwe”
“Over the weekend we had a Road Show whose objective was to sensitize masses and prepare them for participation in the government-led legal reform processes as well as structures and institution building for Devolution.
“HAMREF has a position paper on Devolution which is a product of stakeholder deliberations and is building on work done by several progressive institutions including the Bulawayo Progressive Residents Association which did tremendous work on Devolution,” said Mudzingwa.
The event was held in partnership with Star FM .Several high profile people who included Harare Mayor His Worship Councilor Herbert Gomba was also present.
Several artists who included man of the moment Mambo Duterere entertained the crowd.
