Wolves Manager Vitor Pereira Hails Marshall Munetsi’s Goal-Scoring Potential

Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has praised new signing Marshall Munetsi, highlighting the 28-year-old midfielder’s potential to score goals for the team.

Munetsi, who joined Wolves on the final day of the January transfer window, made his debut as a substitute in last weekend’s 2-0 FA Cup victory over Blackburn Rovers.

During the match, the Zimbabwe international adopted an attacking role and created several scoring opportunities for Wolves, including a header that went wide and a 1-v-1 chance in which he struggled to make a decision before being muscled off the ball.

Pereira expressed confidence in Munetsi’s abilities, noting his versatility. “He’s a player who excels in transition, with the physicality to get into the box and score, but also contributes defensively just seconds later,” said Pereira, according to the Express and Star website.

“He has the physical presence we need, and he’s a player I value highly. He’s a midfielder who scores goals—if you look at his career, he’s been prolific in that regard. His positioning during the header was typical of him. When a cross comes, he’s always there, and that’s something I admired when analyzing him,” Pereira added.
