Zimbabwe Cricket Test Captain Sean Williams is reportedly set to quit international cricket after the current tour of Ireland and Scotland.
This news came in as a shock to many and will certainly be unwelcome given that Williams is one of the best Zimbabwe has at the moment.
In a tweet, respected cricket journalist, Adam Theofilatos said, “I can now exclusively confirm that Zimbabwe Test Captain Sean Williams is set to imminently quit Zim Cricket. I understand that the current tour of Ireland and Scotland is to be his last for the Chevrons.”
Theos even hinted that more losses could be suffered in the team.
He said, “A crippling national loss in what I fear will be the first of many.”
One can only wonder if this move could be the reason behind Williams absence in some crucial Chevron matches.
