A total of 13 new cases tested positive for Covid-19 today.
This bring the total of confirmed cases in the country to 356 cases.
“Thirteen (13) cases tested positive for Covid -19 today. These include returnees from South Africa (12) and one from United Kingdom (1) and are all isolated,” the Health Ministry said.
Masvingo had the highest number of new confirmed cases with 8, Mashonaland West had 2 while Mashonaland Central, East and Matabeleland South had one case each.
Three recoveries were recorded.
‘’Midlands Province reported three (3) new recoveries. To date the total number of confirmed cases is 356, recovered 54, active cases 298 and four deaths since the onset of the outbreak,” the Ministry confirmed.
Today 168 RDT screening tests and 473 PCR diagnostic tests were done. The cumulative number of tests done to date is 58 239(34 229 RDT) and (24 010PCR).
The Ministry urged citizens to store fabric masks in resealable plastic bags unless if it is dirty or wet and waiting to be re –used. When removing the mask from the bag, hold it by the elastic hooks.
