ZIFA woes continue as workers goes for an early Xmas

Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) employees have gone on an early Christmas to offset several hours in over-time that the association is failing to pay.

ZIFA the, football governing body owes its employees upwards of three month’s salary arrears.

“The situation at Zifa is deplorable, we have gone for several months without salaries,” a Zifa employee told this publication on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.

“To make matters worse there is a lot of victimisation. If you raise any objection you are threatened with dismissal,” said one worker who spoke on condition of anonymity
