Comedian Clive Chigubu dies

Bulawayo based stand up comedian, Clive Chigubu has died.


He was 31.


Chigubu was not feeling well for a long time and was battling with Diffuse Large B Cell lymphoma, which had left him bedridden and unable to talk.


Chigubu’s career started when he was at Mzilikazi High School when he was part of Jeepers Makers in 2008.


Chigubu launched his career as a stand up comedian at Amakhosi Elite 400 at the invitation of legend, Cont Mhlanga.


He also founded an initiative called the Yeyeee Family initiative which was meant to upgrade the lives of people living in Bulawayo’s townships.


In September 2015, Chigubu fell ill and had spinal cord challenges.
