State-media misleading public on CAF stadia reinspection – EDITORIAL

After a week of attempting to mislead the public that CAF would be returning to conduct a fresh stadium inspection that would allow Zimbabwe to host Algeria, state media has finally conceded that CAF had no such intentions. The concession comes long after _Kukurigo Sports editor Farai Machamire reported that CAF had rejected pleas for fresh inspection. This raises serious questions about the motives of state media editors in misleading the public as they routinely repeat government propaganda they know to be false. It cannot be true that these well-resourced newspapers do not have access to the facts. They choose to mislead. – Kukurigo
