By Lloyd Takawira While Finance and economic development Minister Mthuli Ncube’s 2022 Bugdet was hailed for it’s fair share to the health services sector , for ZIMCODD , the budget failed to address critical fundermentals in addressing inequalities.
In it’s weekly weekender , ZimCodd said , that although the 2022 national budget registered an increase of ZWL 505.7 billion from the 2021budget which was pegged at ZWL 421.6. It did not address growing inequalities.
“The budget is still lacking mechanisms on addressinginequality, this is because the Ministry of Women ffairs, Community, Small, and MediumEnterprise Development was allocated ZWL 4.7 billion a mere 0.5% of the total budget” read the ZimCodd weekende ZimCodd further said that women affairs and and small to medium enterprises should have been separated.
