A Form 4 student Anesu Madhara tragically lost his life on Monday after being stabbed by a classmate during a dispute in Masvingo.
Anesu Madhara, 18, and Isaac Denhere, 19, who reportedly had an argument after Anesu accused Isaac of assaulting his younger brother.
Their disagreement escalated, and the two decided to settle it with a physical confrontation outside the premises of Mazambara High School.
During the fight, Isaac allegedly pulled out an okapi knife and stabbed Anesu in the abdomen.

Efforts to save Anesu were unsuccessful, as he was rushed to Zimuto Clinic but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Masvingo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, confirmed the incident. He stated that Isaac had been taken into custody and would soon appear in court to face murder charges.
“The suspect is accused of stabbing a fellow student with an okapi knife following a fight,” said Insp Dhewa. “The confrontation took place approximately 25 meters from the school.”
Anesu’s body has been taken to Masvingo Provincial Hospital, where a postmortem will be conducted.
