Two women from Chivi rural dragged each other to court, blaming one another for damage of property.
The incident happened on the 20th of November at around 2pm.
The complainant, Mary Manyimwa said that her property was damaged and she was assaulted by a brick by the accused as she was busy throwing her clothes out of the house the complainant was staying.
The accused Mavis Zisengwa is said to have visited Fortune Jaravaza at his homestead where he was staying with Mary and she asked Fortune to accompany her out and if he refused he was going to have sex with him as Mary was watching.
Mavis then told Fortune that he was supposed to have sex with him on the matrimonial bed Mary and Fortune shared. Fortune agreed and Mavis dragged him to the bedroom and started taking off his clothes and she also took off her clothes as well. The act was about to begin and that is when Mary came into the room and disrupted them.
It is said after their act failed, Mavis started insulting Mary telling her that Fortune no longer loved her and she had no business staying. She started throwing out Mary’s belongings through the window and in the process she also broke windows and some of Mary’sproperties and she assaulted Mary with a brick which hit her on the left side of her head and she fell down. A medical report was presented as evidence.
However Mavis denied the charges and said that she never assaulted Mary and destroyed any property but Mary is making it up the story as she is a jilted lover and does not want to accept that Fortune no longer loves her and wants to move on with her.
Fortune also confirmed that he had told Mary that their relationship was over the same morning the incident happened.
