Mmatigari Calls Out Zimbabwe’s Elite for Contributing to National Discontent

by Bustop TV News

Social media figure Mmatigari has voiced concern over ZANU PF’s focus on prolonging President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s time in office, instead of tackling urgent economic issues like company closures and inflation.

A known ZANU PF supporter, Mmatigari warned that overlooking the country’s economic struggles could lead to national security risks.

In a post on X, Mmatigari also criticized the ostentatious displays of wealth by businessman Wicknell Chivhayo, who lacks visible business operations, labeling it a security concern. He pointed out:

“The focus should be on solving economic issues rather than worrying about extending the President’s term, with 3.5 years left in office. This could become a national security risk.”

He further criticized Chivhayo’s flaunting of wealth, considering it a security problem, particularly when the government is placing heavy tax burdens on citizens just to make ends meet.

Mmatigari also questioned whether anyone had made purchases from Chivhayo’s business ventures, underscoring how these situations, including the Geza controversy, contribute to public discontent and disillusionment.

He concluded by stressing the importance of upholding Zimbabwean values of societal harmony and fair wealth distribution, values that have been passed down through generations and continue to shape the nation’s identity.
