The Zimbabwe Miners Federation (ZMF), led by CEO Wellington Takavarasha (pictured), will be a key player at the upcoming planetGOLD Global Forum in the Philippines between June 3-5.
Takavarasha is invited to speak about the financial aspects of Artisanal and Small-scale Mining (ASM) in Zimbabwe.
Takavarasha’s presentation will focus on how Zimbabwe tackles financial challenges in ASM. He will share best practices and recommendations for governments to empower miners financially. This includes creating policies that boost miners’ production abilities.
ZMF’s participation signifies a major step for Zimbabwean miners on the world stage. This follows their recent invitation to the China Gold Congress and Expo.
The forum session (June 3rd) will center on miners’ perspectives. Takavarasha, nominated for his experience with planetGOLD Zimbabwe, will discuss challenges and successes related to accessing finance and formal supply chains.
