Two dead and 15 injured in a devastating accident on the Harare-Masvingo Highway; a Nissan Caravan kombi was involved in a fatal crash that claimed the lives of two passengers and left 15 others injured. The tragic accident occurred when the rear tire of the kombi burst, causing the vehicle to lose control and veer off the road, ultimately overturning.
The Nissan Caravan, which was carrying a total of 17 passengers, was travelling along the highway when it suddenly veered off its intended path. Reports indicate that the blowout of the rear tyre led to the loss of control, causing the kombi to roll over and land on its roof.

Casualties and Emergency Response
The tragic incident resulted in the deaths of two individuals, while 15 others sustained varying degrees of injury. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the injured victims were rushed to Chivhu General Hospital for medical treatment. Their conditions have been stabilized, but further medical attention will be required for their recovery.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been transported to the hospital’s mortuary, where post-mortem examinations will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
