Mudiwa Hood Threatens Legal Action Against Twitter Critics

Renowned hip-hop gospel artist Mudiwa Hood, born Mudiwa Mtandwa, has announced intentions to pursue legal action against several individuals on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

Among those named are prominent journalist Hopewell Chin’ono and opposition politician Fadzayi MahereFadzayi Mahere.

The dispute arose after Chin’ono publicly criticised Mudiwahood for allegedly flaunting wealth obtained through political connections, suggesting that such displays could make young people feel inadequate.

In a post directed at Hood, Chin’ono stated, “Dear Mudiwa Hood, I ordinarily don’t engage in personal fights between people, but you have posted a lot that makes many young people feel…”

Additionally, Fadzayi Mahere reportedly referred to Hood as a “runner,” a term that can carry derogatory connotations.

In response, Hood has demanded public retractions and apologies from both parties, asserting that their statements are defamatory and have caused significant harm to his reputation.

He emphasised that failure to comply would result in legal proceedings.
