A bizarre and terrifying ordeal has unfolded at Matererini Hostels in Mbare, where 37-year-old Joseph Jameson says he is being relentlessly pursued by unseen figures. According to Jameson, these invisible assailants arrive in convoys of black and white cars, accompanied by motorcycles, and attempt to harm him.
Despite reporting the matter to the police, officers found no evidence of his claims. Meanwhile, Jameson’s distress has severely impacted his life—his wife has left him, and he has abandoned his work as a cart transporter, leaving his family in financial turmoil.
Jameson believes his troubles may be linked to his late brother, Simba Bhuru Jameson, who passed away in July last year. His sister, Clarah Kabutu, suspects the family is under a supernatural curse, pointing to a history of mysterious deaths. Since 1996, eight of their ten siblings have died, along with three grandchildren, all buried at Mbudzi Cemetery.
Now confined to his home in fear, Jameson is afraid to step outside—even to use the toilet—believing his tormentors are lying in wait. His 80-year-old mother, Mbuya Alice Jameson, is heartbroken and desperate for a solution, as the family struggles to cope with fear, loss, and economic hardship.
The Jameson family is appealing for help, whether medical, spiritual, or otherwise, to break the cycle of tragedy that has consumed their lives.
