An Air Zimbabwe Boeing 767-200, operating as a medical evacuation aircraft under the call sign FSK150, successfully transported wounded soldiers from South Africa, Tanzania, and Malawi back to their respective countries after they were airlifted from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The troops sustained injuries while deployed in the DRC, requiring immediate medical evacuation.
Given the ongoing military unrest, they were initially relocated from Goma to Kigali, as Goma’s airspace remains restricted.
