In yet another act of defiance, controversial figure Namatai Bhobho, popularly known as Malloti, is at the centre of a fresh scandal after reportedly fleeing from City Parking officials and destroying a car clamp in the process.

The incident, which took place in the central business district, has sparked outrage as authorities continue to struggle with enforcing parking regulations.

The Incident

According to eyewitnesses, Malloti had illegally parked her vehicle and was issued a fine by City Parking officials. Instead of complying, she allegedly resisted, got into her vehicle, and drove off, forcefully dislodging and destroying the clamp placed on her car.

“We were in the process of issuing her a ticket when she refused to cooperate,” said a City Parking official who requested anonymity.

“She then drove off recklessly, damaging our equipment in the process.”

City Parking’s Response

City Parking has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident, but sources indicate that legal action is being considered against Malloti for destruction of property and evasion of parking penalties.

This is not the first time Malloti has been involved in such incidents. She has a history of defying parking regulations, making her a well-known figure among enforcement officers.

Legal Implications

Legal experts suggest that fleeing from parking enforcement and destroying government property could lead to serious charges, including wilful damage to infrastructure and obstruction of municipal duties. If prosecuted, Malloti could face hefty fines or even jail time.

Public Reaction

The incident has sparked debate on social media, with some condemning Malloti’s reckless actions while others criticise City Parking’s enforcement measures. Some motorists argue that excessive fines and aggressive enforcement contribute to growing resistance from drivers.

As authorities review the case, the public awaits an official response from City Parking and law enforcement regarding the consequences Malloti may face for her latest act of defiance.
