Zimbabwean Sprinter Makusha Seeks Funding

Top sprinter, Ngoni Makusha, is seeking for funding to the tune of US$2,500 for him to enter a camp in South Africa where he hopes to qualify for the Japan 2020 Olympics which are set to be held in August.

Speaking to Bustop TV, the 26 year old sprinter broke down the expenses he needs to meet in-order to get the high performance training which is a prerequisite for him to qualify for the upcoming Olympics in Japan.

“I’m trying to raise some funds to assist in my Olympic preparations which will be covering accommodation, flights, food and nutrition, track and coach fees as well as physio therapists services.

“I am planning to go to South Africa for 3 months where I will be training at high performance center in Pretoria and participating in Olympic qualifier events,” he said.

Makusha holds the national record in the 4×100m relay with 38.95 secs, he has the second fastest 300m of all time in Zim, third fastest time all time Zimbabwe 200m and fourth fastest time all time for 100m in the country.

The training camp will last for three months.
