PRESIDENT Emerson Mnangagwa has granted the annual multi-national exhibition, Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) the greenlight to resume this year.

This comes after its 2020 edition was canceled as part of government’s efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The three day event held in Bulawayo will begin on the 20th of July and end on the 23rd.

In a letter addressed to ZITF company board chairman, Busisa Moyo, the secretary for Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Mavis Sibanda said Mnangagwa had authorised the 2021 edition.

“Please be advised that the President has approved that Zimbabwe International Trade Fair be held during the period 20th to 23rd July 2021.”

In past years, ZITF has sold over 90% of its exhibition space with several countries participating.
