It was all glitz and scandal at the Zimbabwe Music Awards held in Newlands on Saturday, January 25, night .

The event was well organised as performances and the red carpet event was well done. Even the venue was well decorated showing will of hosting a great event.

It was the awarding that was scandalous and shocking. Zimbuzz described the awarding as controversial.

Zimbuzz has it that, “The Awards ceremony itself was well put. You could tell that something was different and refreshing from the organisational structure.

Attracting headline sponsors like PPC cement shows that they were some respectable and trustworthy people running the institution. However they failed the final test which was the awarding side.

Best Male,Best Female,Best Hip Hop to name but a few were controversial to say the least.”

It was shocking that Gemma Griffiths and Ishan won best male and female gongs considering that they both have only one known song appease.

The selection could have been wrong but since it was vote based, maybe people to the effect of the below list.
