Firebrand former, Zanu-PF youth League Political Commissar, Godfrey Tsenengamu has blasted the government for lacking direction as he launched his Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ).

Speaking during the launch in Harare yesterday, Tsenengamu said FEEZ is a voluntary non-partisan and inclusive radical group meant to fight for the economic emancipation of Zimbabwean citizens.

He added that the country’s administration has let down people by lacking genuineness.

“Supposed empowerment programmes have just been nothing but smokescreens and window dressing antics by the authorities.

“We decry lack of genuine will to empower the people. It has just become a traditional campaign message for the politicians.

“Deliberately politicians are not going to empower anyone because if one gets empowered, they may develop a thick head and refuse to be manipulated and abused,”
he said.

Tsenengamu blasted political parties whom he accused of being at the core of the nation’s problems.

“Our political parties have become part of the problem we have to solve first before we attend to the bread and butter issues affecting us. We have mortgaged our lives and future with political entrepreneurs.

“We have sacrificed ourselves so much for our parties, politicians and their ambitions for power and done very little to change our situations. We have relied too much on a few people to change our situations but all have failed us.”
