Tangai Bhawa hit-maker, Fidel Country Boy has hailed, President Emmerson Mnangagwa for declaring Zim Danchall artist, Soul Jah Love a provisional hero.

Fidel said he applauds Mnangagwa for granting honor to a colleague in the music industry, describing the late Jah Love as a superstar and hero who deserves the heroic status.

“I agree with President Mnangagwa’s decision to recognize Soul Jah Love as a provisional hero. Apart from his music career Chibaba’s life was miserable but he managed to entertain the nation up until his time of death.

“Through his music, a lot of people were relieved from stress, the guy inspired us as ghetto youths and introduced so many styles and chants amongst ghetto youths. I can simple say that was his own way of fighting a war,” he said.

The artist also said the development is an inspiration to ghetto youths and all those that sing Zim-dancehall.

He indicated that Sauro left a huge vacuum in the music arena.

Country Boy added that the 31-year old artist will always be remembered through the heroic status.

The Norton based chanter said as new comers in the dancehall industry they will secure and maintain Jah Love’s legacy.

Despite mixed feelings over Soul Jah Love’s hero status, the talented musician will be laid to rest tomorrow at 11am in Warren Hills in Harare.
