Rushinga man fined two beasts for bedding married woman

A Rushinga man has been dragged to the Chief’s Court for bedding a married woman.

Tonderai Mutegede appeared before Chief Makuni’s Community Court after George Chopodzi found romantic messages between the former and his wife, Handu Musvaire.

Chopodzi said he had become suspicious after he arrived at his home from Harare where he works. His wife, an ECD teacher lives back home in Rushinga.

Following his suspicions he began to monitor his wife’s cell phone.

Mutegede was later trapped when Chopodzi chatted with him while pretending to be his wife and recorded the messages.

He went on to corner his wife who later confessed to having an affair with Mutegede.

“Mutegede even sent airtime to my wife‘s number while I was assaulting her to admit the act.

“He said he was sending airtime for text messages,” Chopodzi said.

Mutegede pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine of two beasts within a period of 21 days.
