The President, His Excellency Emerson Dambudzo Mnangangwa has vowed to continue to balance between “peace and stability and protection on civil rights.”

He said this whilst addressing the nation on Tuesday morning.

“We will continue to strike a balance between peace and stability and protection of civil rights on the other hand”, he said.

Mnangagwa also added that his administration has been under attack since he came into office.

“My government has faced attacks since my inauguration e.g sanctions, economic aggression, drought, COVID-19. We will defeat the attack and bleeding on our economy.

“We make no apology for fixing our economy across the political, social and economic spectrum. Reforms that will open up the economy and help entrepreneurs are bearing fruits. Corruption at all levels must stop.”

President Mnangangwa also blamed internal and external “dark forces” for tampering with the country.

“The dark forces inside and outside our borders have tempered with our growth and development for too long. Let us embrace patriotism, accountability, love and unity.”

He then pledged to work hard and encouraged unity.
“I vow to continue working harder towards the vision we have set out. Let us press on with hope hand in hand being each other’s keeper. God bless Zimbabwe, God bless you all,” said the President.
