Police To Investigate ZUPCO Murder Case

A 22-year-old ZUPCO bus female conductor was shot dead in Dzivarasekwa yesterday.

According to the police, the murder took place on Monday at around 21:30 pm at Kadada Shops in Dzivarasekwa Phase 4.

“Police are investigating a murder case which occurred on 13/09/21 at around 2130 hrs at Kadada Shops, Dzivarasekwa.

“Where a ZUPCO bus conductor (22) was shot on the head by an unknown suspect with an unidentified firearm,” said police.

Meanwhile, running under a hashtag #notocrime, the ZRP also confirmed that investigations over a recent mining dispute and violence at village 5 Lornkope, Kadoma will carry on.

The police revealed that at the moment three ring leaders namely, Adrian Zvivada (20), Last Mahlatini (29) and Farai Hakamela (26) were all arrested.

Adding on, ZRP also said 14 other panners who were involved in the case were accounted for last week Friday.

And the five complainants who were injured following the attack which included machetes, axes and knives made their reports to the police.
