Zvishavane based side, FC Platinum, have ultimately pronounced the departure of assistant coach Lizwe Sweswe from their technical bench.

In a statement issued by the club’s president, Dr Fabian Mashingaidze, the reigning champions described the end of their marriage with former assistant coach Sweswe as mutual.

The three time champions, also potrayed Sweswe as a devoted coach and an entire contributer who will remain in rememberance of the club’ history.

This follows after Platinum dramatically won the 2019 Premier Soccer League tittle on the last day of the season, beating Harare giants Caps United.

“FC Platinum wishes to announce the departure of Assistant Coach, Lizwe Sweswe, from the team through a mutual separation agreement.

“Lizwe has been with the team for the past five years and the Club would like to thank him for his professionalism, dedication and commitment to the achievement of the Club objectives.

“He has been an integral part of our technical team and the year 2019 will remain a memorable one as he led us to yet another championship and together with his team took us to the Champions League,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, the statement also reads that on behalf of the fans, the president, executive, management, the technical together with playing staff, acknowledge the works coach Lizwe offered the club  and hope him well in the future.

“The Club Presidium, Fans, Executive, Management, entire Technical and playing staff wish him well in his future endeavours,” the statement described.

In addition, the former Tsholotsho FC coach (Sweswe), was elevated as an interim coach late last year, replacing former Platinum headcoach, Norman Mapeza, who allegedly parted ways with the club.

Indefinately, the club announced that Lizwe Sweswe will be replaced by the elevated Patrick Mandizha, who was the team’s third assistant coach.

FC Platinum revealed that Mandizha will continually work together with head coach Hendrik Pieter De Jongh.

“Lizwe will be replaced by Patrick Mandizha who was our third assistant coach, we are not going to hire a coach,” FC Platinum said.
