Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in partnership with Higher Life Foundation are offering free Covid testing for tertiary and secondary students.

A statement issued by Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals stated that there will be free Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing for students at the health institution in Harare.

“Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in partnership with Higher Life Foundation is offering free Covid PCR testing and certification for students in secondary school and Tertiary institutions.

“Testing will take place between 15 and 22 March 2021 on a voluntary basis at the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals casualty car park from 8:00 am and 15:30pm, on a first come first serve basis with only 150 students per day,” it read.

The students are urged to come for testing with their institutional Identity Card or letter from the institutions relevant authorities confirming their student status for them to be assisted.

This initiative comes after the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education concluded that all institutions around the country can now safely resume with their education after an indefinite closure stirred by the Covid 19 pandemic which saw a number of Zimbabweans losing their lives to it.

Institutions were urged to adhere to the World Health Organization guidelines so as to ensure safety within the institutions and help curb the spread of the deadly pandemic.
