Orlando Pirates sign Warriors midfielder

South African club Orlando Pirates, today (Wednesday) confirmed the signing of the Zimbabwe international midfielder Terrence Dzukamanja on a three year deal.

Dzukamanja re-joins his former teammates at the defunct Bidvest Wits, Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto who signed with Orlando Pirates earlier this week.

This signing comes after Bidvest Wits sold its franchise to Limpopo province based team Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC, who were playing in the Glad African Championship National First Division in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the 26 year old striker was reportdly eyed by Pitso Mosimane’s coached side, Mamelodi Sundowns, who are set to strengthen their side for the upcoming season of the CAF champions League.

Sundowns were crowned the 2019/2020 ABSA Premier Soccer League champions ahead of Kaizer Chiefs, following last day crucial win against Black Leopards.

However, through their website the soweto giants announced the signing of Dzukamanja together with midfielder Collins Makgaka, who was with Baroka Fc.

“Following the announcement of the signing of Thulani Hlatshwayo and Deon Hotto on Monday, the club is pleased to announce two more additions ahead of the start of the 2020/21 season.

“Terrence Dzvukamanja and Collins Makgaka have joined the club. Dzvukamanja has put pen to paper having agreed to a three-year deal with the Buccaneers.

“Meanwhile, Makgaka joins the club from Baroka FC. The 24-year old is an exciting attacking midfielder who spent five seasons with Bakgakga,” Pirates revealed.

Dzukamanja joins the list of other Zimbabweans to play for Pirates following the likes of Tendai Ndoro, Kudakwashe Mahachi, Marshal Munetsi, Zvenyika Makonese and Takesure Chinyama.
