Outspoken deputy information minister, Energy Mutodi has made sensational claims that he is living in fear as Christopher Mutsvangwa and Sibusiso Moyo are ‘threatening’ his life.
Writing on his twitter account, Mutodi insinuated that his differences with the duo might result in his death if the two resort to “wartime tactics”.
“Living in fear of the Chris Mutsvangwa –SB Moyo coalition. I hope it won’t resort to wartime tactics. Appealing for prayers,” he tweeted.
Differences between Mutodi , Mutsvangwa and Moyo surfaced after Mutodi slammed his superior, Information minister, Monica Mutsvangwa and her husband Christopher for abusing state-controlled media.
This was after the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) reported that government was distancing itself from his recent comments concerning COVID 19.
In the story Foreign Affairs minister, Sibusiso Moyo issued a statement distancing government from Mutodi’s statements which were not reflective of “government’s position nor policy” to which Mutodi responded, “This shows the gross incompetence at the ZBC & it also shows how Monica and her husband Chris are abusing the state media”.
Mutodi had blasted Tanzanian President, John Magafuli’s for recording a sharp rise in COVID-19 positive cases in his country which he suggested was a result of merely relying on prayers without putting a national lockdown in place.
The Goromonzi West Legislator again set tongues wagging after tweeting that hungry villagers in his constituency were disturbing his sleep, knocking at his gate in the early morning to beg for food.
In a picture that is doing rounds on social media, Mutodi is seen seated outside his gate appearing dejected with hordes of villagers with no face masks and not maintaining social distancing.
