Outspoken deputy information minister, Energy Mutodi received a brutal backlash on Twitter following an ‘insensitive’ post on the alleged abduction of three MDC activists.

Mutodi whose vocal insanity is not new suggested a cooked up scenario of what could have happened to the three MDC-A leaders.

This comes after MDC legislator, Joanna Mamombe, Netsai Marova and Cecilia Chimbiri were reportedly abducted before they were later found in Musana, Bindura South.

Mutodi tweeted, “Details emerge MDC youths Joana Mamombe, Netsai Marova & Cecilia Chimbiri went out for a romantic night to Bindura with their lovers who are artisanal miners. They parked their car at a police station for safety but tragedy struck when they demanded foreign currency for services.”

This comment attracted comments from a host of people in the country with exiled politicians weighing in.

Former Information minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo laid down insults to the current deputy in his former office calling him a dog.

“Iwe Energy Mutodi urimbwa yemunhu and a disgrace to humanity. If, as your appointing authority, Mnangagwa does not fire you for this, he will confirm that he too is a disgrace to humanity and must go with #ZanuPF!”

Team Pachedu went as far as questioning Mutodi’s IQ suggesting that the University of Cape Town revoke Mutodi’s doctrate.

“Dear @UCTpostgrads. The greater Zimbabwe is questioning the authenticity of Energy Mutodi’s doctorate judging from his IQ & thinking capacity. He will negatively influence the credibility of your noble institution if you do not distance yourself from him. Revoke his doctorate!”

Scholar and Media researcher, Alexander Rusero said, “Stop being Stupid Energy!”

Mutodi was last week pleading for people’s prayers on Twitter against what he said was a threat on his life posed by SB Moyo and Christopher Mutsvangwa.

Currently, the three ladies, Joana Mamombe, Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova are admitted at a local hospital seeking medical attention for sexual assault and battery that they purportedly suffered at the hands of unknown assailants.
