Mnangagwa fires bodyguard and nephew for theft

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s bodyguard and nephew, Valdano Brown, has been fired, Bus Stop TV can exclusively reveal.

The embattled Kwekwe-bred nephew of Mnangagwa allegedly betrayed his uncle’s trust by orchestrating the theft of money secured in a safe.

However, the exact location of the safe could not be confirmed.

“Yes, Brown was fired for stealing money, which infuriated the President. He was dismissed a few months ago. The President does not tolerate indiscipline, and Brown’s dismissal shows that he has no fear or favor, even with his close relatives,” said our source.

Our source further alleged that Brown deceived several businessmen in questionable deals, primarily targeting Chinese nationals in mining deals.

Brown is no stranger to controversy. During the COVID-19 era, he was implicated in a looting scam in which he allegedly set up a shelf company in Namibia and inflated PPE prices after landing a government contract.

The shelf company Jaji was contracted to supply 19 testing kits at five times the normal price, draining the treasury in the process.

Efforts to reach Jaji for comment were unsuccessful, and Brown’s mobile phone was unreachable when writing.
