Growing calls for talks between the two antagonist MDC leader Nelson Chamisa and President Mnangagwa appear to be withering as the two parties appear to be playing hard nut to crack .
MDC chairperson Thabitha Khumalo has said that the MDC still stand by its condition for dialogue
“We have spoken about dialogue and its benchmarks, it is up to ZANU PF to take it or leave as they stole the election,” Thabitha Khumalo said
However, Zanu PF spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo accused the MDC of playing games
Khaya Moyo said “What are their demands? They should tell us their demands. These people have been saying a lot, they are playing games with the people.
“The issue of legitimacy is irrelevant. The matter went to the Concourt (Constitutional Court) and it made a ruling that the legitimate leader is President Mnangagwa. What can we do about what was said by the highest court on the land? They want us to reverse that?”
The dialogue between the two political parties is anticipated by Zimbabweans as it has been hoped to be the remaining step towards curbing the ailing economy the country is facing.
