MDC-T Expelled From MDC Alliance

The MDC-T has suffered a major blow after being expelled from the MDC Alliance today over a number of violations.

The partners include Transform Zimbabwe , MDC-T, MDC, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Multi-Racial Christian Democrats (MCD), ZAPU, Transform Zimbabwe (TZ) and Zanu Ndonga accused the MDC T party of failing to consult the other parties in the alliance before taking substantive decisions.

In a statement the coalitions principal convener, Mathias Guchutu of the MCD party said the principal signatories unanimously agreed to expel the MDC-T.

“The MDC-Alliance principal signatories to the agreement signed 5 August 2017 – unanimously agreed to expel the MDCT from the membership of Alliance as you were found to be in complete disregard of the composite agreement as you brought the name of the alliance into disrepute.”

The latest political drama is set reignite the long political antagonism that is pitting the various opposition factions.
