Enstranged wife to Vice President Constantino Chiwenga, Marry Mubaiwa’s trial has been postponed to 18 October and 1 November.

Mubaiwa who appeared at the courts on Thursday was ordered by Harare regional magistrate Stanford Mambanje to come back to the court on the new trial dates.

The 40-year-old former model is accused of attempting to murder Chiwenga and money laundering.

Mubaiwa’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa told the court that her client’s medical condition is the reason behind the postponement of the trial.

In 2019, Mubaiwa was arrested by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Comission (ZACC) for allegedly externalising more than US$1 million in a space of eight months.

Furthermore, the daughter to the former Dynamos FC manager Kenny Mubaiwa, was also accused of fraud and plotting to solemnise her marriage to Chiwenga without the VPs knowledge.
