Apostolic sects in Centenary have embraced the Covid-19 vaccination drive, with 50 congregates receiving the live-saving jab this Sunday.
“We were constrained during prayers but after vaccination I feel more free and encourage others to get vaccinated,” a member of the sect said.
“This program is good and I hope more and more people embrace the programme. I actually want my whole family to get vaccinated,” another said.
Johane Masowe leader Prophet Biggie Musanzika said demand for the vaccines among his congregants is high.
He said, “I just received my first jab today and I feel fine. This is something we have been praying and waiting for. There were more people who wanted to be vaccinated, but they could not do so as the vaccines that came were few.”
The Covid-19 pandemic hit hard on the church fraternity which used to gather in thousands with most mega churches now worshipping online.
