MDC deputy Chair and Zengeza west legislator Job Sikhalayesterday (Wednesday) put parliamentary proceedings at halt after he made sensational corruption allegations towards Health Minister Obadiah Moyo.
“Saro Wiwa” as he if affectionately known accused the former Chitungwiza Central Hospital boss of having a parallel nurse recruitment panel that would handpick nurse trainees.
He also alleged that Moyo was working with the then First Lady Grace Mugabe who would sent names direct from her office.
The claims which triggered chaos forced the speaker of parliament Jacob Mudenda to reprimand Jacob Sikhala.
“I cannot allow a situation where an honorable member casts aspersions, that are not permissible in terms of standing orders honorable Sikhala you cannot say the honorable member is corrupt,” said Mudenda.
During his campaigns at Zengeza 2 shopping center last year in Chitungwiza, Job Sikhala made similar revelations promising the electorate that once elected into office, he will put an end to the recruitment of nurses from out of town.
