Zimbabweans on social media platforms have reacted angrily to video footage of an unidentified man filmed flogging women with a cane.
In the video circulating on the internet the man forces several women to eat chilli before he proceeds to beat them.

Disturbed by the footage, internet users have called on the police to bring the perpetrator to book.
BUILD Zimbabwe Alliance president, Noah Manyika called on Zimbabweans to identify the man and bring him to police .
“There times man see things like this and instead of denouncing it we stand .We men must denounce it ” he wrote.
Journalist, Costa Nkomo also vented his anger at the horrendous video tweeting: ” Someone is taking law into his own hands. Colonialism is still with us.
@PoliceZimbabwe @ZimRights1″
Vocal journalist cum government critic, Hopewell Chin’ono also vented his frustration on Twitter.
Chin’ono tweeted , “This is how evil white racists treated blacks in the 1930s, cruel & vile! . Those racists have now been replaced by equally evil men who treat their fellow black folk like slaves!.This man is a senior ZANUPF official in Mashonaland West.Feeding fellow humans chillies!”
The lockdown period has seen an upsurge of gender-based violence mainly against women.
