A hard drive that is allegedly said to have lots of evidence incriminating the suspended town clerk Mr George Makunde and Mrs Mukonyora has vanished .The hard drive is said to have evidence of ghost workers and a secret payroll for the council’s top brass. This publication has it on good authority that the mysterious disappearance of the hard drive coincided with the time the director of human resources Mrs Mary Mukonyora was put on forced leave.
Chitungwiza Residents Trust(CHITREST) has since issued a statement indicating that they are eagerly awaiting to see action being taken by the municipality to recover the hard drive, ” we hear Chitungwiza Municipality is running in Sixes and Sevens following the disappearance of a hard drive with critical councils information particularly salary records.
“We await to hear of the action being taken by the municipality to recover the hard drive “, reads part of the statement.
Efforts to get a comment from the council was fruitless
