Former Caps United legendary coach, Steve Kwashi dies

Veteran former Caps United coach, Steve “The Dude” Kwashi (67) has died.

Kwashi reportedly died at his home today in the wee hours.

The cause of his death has not been disclosed yet although reports indicate that he succumbed to Covid-19 complications.

The 67-year-old is famously known of being the first coach to lead the Green Machine to their first league title in the post-independence era in 1996.

Despite ending a 17-year wait for the league, under the tutelage of Kwashi, Makepekepe’s class of 96 won several silverwares, ranging from BP Cup, Independence trophy and Charity Shield.

Meanwhile, funeral arrangements for the late Makepekepe legendary coach are yet to be announced.
