College Central YouTube channel hacked: Wadiwa Wepamoyo deleted

Local content creators, College Central reportedly had their YouTube account hacked and all their videos wiped off the site.

College Central made headlines this year after airing a successful drama series, Wadiwa WepaMoyo.

They were currently riding high bagging a remarkable viewership and online following.

All videos which were on the channel have been deleted including Wadiwa Wepamoyo Season 1.

College Central confirmed the development via their twitter handle appealing for help from anyone who can help them retrieve their work.

The producers are set to lose their revenue generated by YouTube viewership after they had achieved an average of 200 000 views.

Efforts to get a comment from Co-writer,   producer and director Derby Bheta were fruitless by the time of publishing.

Local content producers have been falling prey to unscrupulous online users who have been in the habit of hacking and tempering with online content that would have been uploaded.

A few days ago local blog, ZimCelebs reported that their Youtube account has been attacked leading to two fraudulent copyright strikes putting their account at risk of being officially deleted for online violations.

This development affected afro pop artist Ishan whose hit song Kure featuring T-Gonzi which had over 2.9 million views being pulled down for infringement scam from an unknown account.
