Clerk frauds school

School Clerk at Daitai Secondary School is facing three counts of fraud that transpired on different days and with different amounts.
The accused Ruth Mavengwa resides at Village Zariro, Chief Nyakunhuwa in Zaka. The complainant is Gibson Rufasha 56 who is representing the school. He resides at Village Rufasha, Chief Chiwara, Gutu.
It is in the court’s case that on the 14th day of November 2019 Daitai secondary school biller account mistakenly deposited cash amounting to $545 into the accused persons CBZ account. The accused withdrew the money and used it.
On the 2nd of December 2019, Daitai secondary school biller account mistakenly deposited cash amounting to $333 into the accused persons CBZ account. The accused withdrew and used it.
On the 16th day of December 2019, Daitai secondary school biller account mistakenly deposited cash amounting to $2185 into the accused persons CBZ account. The accused transferred the cash into her own ecocash account where she further transferred the money into different accounts.
A report was made to the police, investigations led to the arrest of the accused person. Total value stolen is $3068 and $1800 was recovered.
Ruth was sentenced to serving 210 hours of community service at Barakadza Primary school starting 4 January.
